Recently I have been on the hunt for the perfect (must have) d’Orsay flats.  These sleek, elegant, pointed flats are anything but basic. Offering a chic comfort, they are the perfect transitional day to night shoes. Although they came out in the spring, these shoes are perfect for fall. If you are also looking for a pair, here are a few ideas that will have you feeling stylish and comfortable.

!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘widgets.rewardstyle.com’ + ‘/js/lookbook.js’;d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof(window.__lookbook) === ‘object’) if(d.readyState === ‘complete’) {window.__lookbook.init();}}(document, ‘script’, ‘lookbook-script’);

One of my favorite parts about decorating is hanging art work around my apartment. Art work really makes the home feel more put together and personal. I usually gear towards fashion or floral illustrations and architectural prints.  Inslee By Design and Etsy are always great websites to find affordable and chic prints. My two favorite pieces I currently own, this and this,  are from Inslee and I love, love, love, looking at them everyday! As I move into a new apartment that isn’t a closet size studio like my one in New York, I will have more space to place more art. Here are some great pieces I am currently eyeing. Let me know what you think!

Now that I have moved back to Columbus I have realized even though I grew up here I know nothing about Columbus. So much has changed in the 3 years I did not live here.  I sometimes feel as if I moved to a brand new state. Since I have been enjoying exploring my “new” city,  I thought to use it as a blog series: Columbus Guide.

For my first CG I thought it appropriate to honor my favorite hour of the day, happy hour! This past weekend I enjoyed the happiest of hours at Mouton.

Location: 954 N. High Street in the Short North area.

Why go there: It is a great place to start your evening as it is quaint and cozy with small bites and delicious drinks! You have the choice of what type of speciality cheese and cured meats you would like along with other tasty appetizers (the jam was amazing). We ordered the large plate, along with an order of Dan The Baker bread, and it was just enough for the two of us. The ambience is rustic with a huge chalkboard menu display, open windows, and they adorn the walls with local artwork.
