front-tie dress  // pink mules // mini satchel c/o

This is me leaping into the best sale of the year! The time has finally arrived! Today marks the start of the Nordstrom Anniversary Early Access sale!!! Early access means if you are a Nordstrom card holder you are able to shop the sale items today. If you do not have a Nordstrom card then the anniversary sale does not start (open to the public) until the 21st. But do not worry, you are still able to see a preview of what is on sale. My advice is to put the items you want now into the shopping cart, so once July 21st arrives all you have to do is press purchase. The sale ends on August 6th!

Moving to a new city can be hard for anyone at any age. When I first moved to New York years ago I only knew roughly 6 people.  I did not have a group of girlfriends like I have had in college or high school to go out to with. I spent the majority of my first few months hanging out with my guy friend from high school and all of his friends. It was not until I joined the New York Junior League that I started to really feel like NYC was my home. Honestly if it was not for joining the NYJL I probably wouldn’t of have lasted as long as I have in New York. There were plenty of times I felt lonely.

Last night I had my first tennis lesson!! I had so much fun playing and learning new skills! But do not call me Serena Williams just yet, I have a lot more to learn and master. Since tennis is on my mind this outfit came together to represent my new found sport (get it? I look like a tennis ball…..).  Definitely more of a spectator look.  Anyway, green is not a color I usually wear, if at all. It is not that I do not like the color nor do I think I look bad in it, I just prefer blues, pinks, whites, and black.

Happy Friday!! I am still in Columbus visiting my family (until tomorrow). It has been a wonderful week and I am so grateful for it. The week started off with my niece’s baptism. She wore a 200 year old dress from France that has been passed down through generations. I was the last person who have worn it. After the baptism we had a celebratory party at my parents house. The entire day was wonderfully special and I know my 6 month old niece had a great time.
