A few days ago I met with my friend Sam, from The New York Blonde, for lunch on her beautiful rooftop in Tribeca. As we chatted over a delicious salmon feast, we came upon the topic of why we really started blogging. Sam was chit-chatting with a brand a while back about an upcoming project. The brand asked her why she started to blog. As Sam talked about her reasoning, the brand was impressed with there was a meaning behind her starting a blog. It wasn’t because she loved fashion or saw a bunch of girls getting free perks and thought she should try it. She has a reason, a story, behind her blog. As she talked I started to really think about my reason. Sure I love fashion, writing, photography, and needed a creative outlet– so blogging made sense to me. It isn’t only because I always wanted to start my own business or I can bring a little color to the usual head to toe black wearing New York gal (a niche if you want to call it that). It is more than just connecting with others through my passion and life experiences. And it isn’t because I have been blogging since it was only for the nerds and I love it so much. It is all of the above really, but there is two main reasons I started this blog.
So why did I start blogging?
