“If all you did was just look for things to appreciate you would live a joyous, spectacular life”

-Abraham Hicks

Happy Friday!! This past week felt like it flew by, and I didn’t do anything special. No events or dinners with friends, just leisurely lived my life. And it felt great! Even when I got plantar fasciitis in my left foot and spent all day Wednesday on the couch icing it because I couldn’t walk, I still had a great time. I watched reruns of Will and Grace, got a lot of work done on my blog, and even slept in. I am one wild gal. My foot still hurts and I am trying not to jump during my workouts, also icing it when I get the chance. I need to get new athletic shoes but can’t decide which brand/style to buy. I want these blush colored APL’s but not sure if they will support me enough while I work out. I am the most indecisive person when it comes to buying athletic shoes.

This past year I have neglected pleasure reading. So sad, I know! I am usually one who loves to pleasure read and will read book after book. For some reason this year I really dropped the ball. I have been reading the same book Power Your Happy for way too long– the book is good, I just have not made myself sit down to finish it. Now that the weather is getting colder and my desire to be outside will dwindle, I want to get back into reading. These are the 4 books I currently have on my radar to read next.

My style back in the day used to be preppy. I wore a pearl necklace everyday, popped my collar, lived at the Lilly Pulitzer store, and had one too many argyle sweaters. My style has evolved over the years into a more feminine, New York chic. And by New York chic I mean wearing all black with a splash of ruffle. I am more trendy (but not fast fashion) with my choice of attire now. Sometimes, however, I like to let my freak flag fly by bringing the prep back in. The preppy look will always be in style and one that I will go back to time and time again.

Barbour Jacket

It has always been a joke in my family on how many coats my grandparents owned. Some may say they had too many, I say they had the right idea. My grandparents owned a coat (or two)  for every 10 degrees. Pure genius. Instead of sweating in your winter coat or freezing in your light jacket, you have outerwear that tailors to every possible weather condition. My grandparents passed on this gene to me, the need for jackets and coats for any and all occasions.
