dress // sneakers // circle bag c/o // sunglasses

This is the time of the summer where you want to just throw on a casual dress and go. Something you can be comfortable in, throw your hair in a top knot, and call it a day. It’s the time of the year where it’s too humid and hot to really care. You need to wear something flowy and comfortable. Something that will keep you cool while you run around town sweating glistening. Something the weather will only deem as acceptable to wear. Throw on casual dresses have been my go-to lately from weekday running errands to weekend brunches with friends. When I worked a 9-5 I would wear a casual dress to work then change into my work clothes, that way my work clothes were not sticky and gross. A t-shirt dress is simple to throw on, while a mid-length dress is perfect to keep you cool on the weekend. I currently have this dress that I wear when it gets too hot but I still want to look cute, and I have my eye on this one in all colors. When the fall season comes, this and this dress is perfect to throw on. But we are still in the sunshine season so this dress will, of course, be your go-to.  Summer casual dresses are truly a must in all of our wardrobes. I’ve gathered some of my favorite ones that are all under $100.

“Act in such a manner that you are living proof of a loving God”

Happy Friday! A lot went on this week, but most importantly a lot of self care happened. Last week when I went to the sound bath event at Bando NYC, one of the things Abigail said was to expect a strong surge of emotions. This is because you are releasing whatever is blocked inside you. Unfortunately for me this meant that I was extremely critical of myself. I was angry about everything in life, and then I was angry that I was angry and couldn’t stop. Usually if I am criticizing myself I can take a step back and let it go. This I couldn’t let go. I wanted to be critical, I needed to. In a way I believe this was me releasing negative emotions to make room for healing and more positivity. The things I was saying to myself I didn’t even believe really, I just needed to think it. Luckily for everyone who came in contact with me I was nice to– only mad at myself. This lasted for a little longer than I wanted to. It wasn’t until I attended the Almost30 Podcast event when we received Reiki healing that I finally stopped.  And now am as positive, chipper, and full of love as can be!

workout

For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part….. I keep finding myself in a workout class. Since Bandier closed Studio B to reopen a new location, I have been substituting my Studio B days with classes that I have either not attended in a while or a class I have been wanting to try. I find that my workout weekly routine consist of one yoga class, two dance cardio classes, one sculpting, one running, and one heavy weight class. I may switch out either running or the second dance cardio class with pilates or boxing. But that is my usually routine. I haven’t been trying that many new classes lately, instead been fine-tuning my weekly schedule to workouts I know and love. Here are some of my favorite classes to attend in New York.
