Happy Friday! I hope you had a lovely Christmas with your family and friends. I am still in Columbus, relaxing with my family. I return back to New York tomorrow, just in time for New Year’s Eve. My time home has been mostly spent with my family. It has been nice being home but am ready to get back to NYC… just not quit ready to get back to work.

Happy Friday!! I flew home to Columbus yesterday for a long holiday break. I am happy to be home, spending time with my family and can’t wait to see my friends. But I am most excited about seeing my niece’s excitement for Christmas. She is already going around the house saying Ho Ho Ho. I’ve never had the opportunity, being the youngest of my entire family, to see the holiday through a child’s eyes. It really reminds you how excited you were as a kid that Santa was coming.

This winter I am trying to break out of the norm of wearing all black and playing around with lighter colors for the season. A few of those colors are white, silver, and blush. A combination that would easily lead your mind to think of spring or summer. Now I am introducing it to the cold season. This is a look that I can wear all year round– well maybe not my faux fur coat in the summer, but you get the point. I can wear each item individually or together throughout each season. (more…)

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is the chance to really get dressed up; put on a fancy dress and have a merry time. Holiday parties can vary from ugly Christmas sweaters to black tie affairs. While all are enjoyable, I love having the chance to wear a pretty dress. It reminds me of back in the day when every party entailed a cocktail dress or an evening gown.
