Month: December 2018

Can you believe 2018 is almost over? This year seemed to have flown by, yet also felt like a few lifetimes rolled into 12 months. Looking back at what has happened this year, some occurrences only a few months past, feels like years ago. 2018 was a pretty good year for me. I accomplished a lot of my goals, experiences some amazing things, made a lot of new friends, and felt like I have personally grown a lot. There are still some things I wish I did like travel, but for the things I did do I am grateful for. I am ending the year feeling happy, loved, and blessed.

Winter Whites

turtleneck c/o // over the knee high boots // skirt // plaid coat // handbag c/o

Winter is here and it’s chilly outside! Brrr! Trying to push against the wind is a workout in itself. During the winter I tend to wear a lot of black and the only pop of color I have is my red wind-blown face. While black is certainly a timeless look, winter whites have made its way into being a refreshing, chic way to dress. I know there is the age old saying of no white after Labor Day, but I believe   you can throw that rule out the window. Wearing white is a must for your winter wardrobe.

The easiest way to wear white is through a cozy sweater. If you haven’t noticed by now, I have been wearing this turtleneck sweater with almost every outfit. It’s a simple garment to style; can be worn with jeans, trousers, or a skirt.  If you feel wearing all white makes you look like the Adominal Snowman, add some pop of color. Here I styled my winter whites with grey over-the-knee boots and a grey plaid over-sized coat. The color retains the softness of the aesthetics. Whether you go all monochromatic or add just a splash, wearing white will make you feel and look ready for a winter wonderland.

fitness

Whether they are starting out on their fitness journey or hits the gym everyday, activewear is one of the best holiday gifts you can give. As someone who enjoys working out I always have a fitness item or two on my list to Santa. I am constantly in the market for a new pair of leggings or tanks. Lately I have been trying to expand my fitness collection with more colors  and patterns. I usually wear all black (which you probably have noticed from all of my Insta Stories) to workout in, but lately I have been wanting to add some color. I bought these pants from Outdoor Voices recent and love them– if you are between sizes I say go up, they are compression leggings which means they are tight. I bought my normal size which does fit and I do love the compression, sucking everything in, but on days when I feel bloated or gained a few pounds it’s a little hard to breath….  call me crazy but I like to breath.
