“evolving involves eliminating”

-Erykah Badu

Happy Friday! Just when you thought I was going to be free from melodrama, insert injury. It seems I have done something to my…well.. my bottom. I originally thought I brushed my tailbone. I woke up Thursday morning with shooting pain from that reign of my body. I can not bend over, sit down/ stand up quickly, do squats, left my right leg backwards, sit on a hard surface for too long, sit in general for too long. The weird thing about it is that I did not fall or bump into anything. The pain just showed up out of nowhere.  I went to workout Thursday morning because I 1) didn’t want to get charged a late cancellation fee and 2) wanted to test out my mobility. I thought if I would move about, the pain would go away; hoping at the time it could ultimately just be a cramp or a knot. Turns out I was not very mobile and could only do my arms. I need to be airlifted to places now.

fathers day gift guide

With Father’s Day approaching it’s time to start thinking about what you want to gift the world’s best dad. From clothing to sports gear to cooking utensils, there are plenty of things you can get your dad for Father’s Day. My go-to gift is always a book— usually about WWll, American Government or sports. The man likes what he likes. A book is something that won’t break the bank but he will still enjoy. Another item that he will appreciate and use often is a foam roller. So simple, yet very effective. He probably doesn’t even know he needs one! If you are looking to really spoil your dad this year, a new jacket or a briefcase will surely make him feel stylish. Gift your dad an Air Fryer to trick him into a healthier lifestyle. If you are not sure what get your dad this year, a simple sweater or a new tie is always appreciated. No matter what you gift your dad he will surely feel special.

adidas x parley

shoes // jacket

For over a year I have been trying to educate myself of the importance of keeping our earth clean. It is not that I didn’t care before, I mean as a child I was deeply affected by Ferngully and went around my neighborhood to raise money for the rainforest. I think in the past I was not truly paying attention to what exactly is happening to our environment. Now that I know, I hate to tell you guys but it is not looking good. I believe we have about 25 years max to fix this problem. My interest or my awareness sparked when I went to a luncheon last year about sustainability. Since then I have been trying to inform myself about wearing sustainable clothes (still have a hard time since not every brand is), learning about climate change, landfills, pollution, and ocean clean up.
