Happy Friday! September has been a busy month so far and it looks as if it will not slow down anytime soon. After a semi-slow summer, it was a shock to the system to jump headfirst into events and meetings galore. But I have been enjoying myself tremendously and have been loving seeing my friends on a more regular basis.

One thing I am trying to do this fall season is to find other clothing alternatives than the standard jeans and a sweater uniform. When I saw this matching sweater set from Tibi, I knew it was the perfect outfit to wear in the fall season and throughout the beginning of winter. This chic monochromatic look can be worn from work to a night out. I paired it with my snakeskin boots for a splash of detail. It’s a little heavy to wear right now when the weather is still slightly warm, but once the temperatures dropdown I will be wearing this sweater matching set on repeat.
If you have been following me for a while then you would know that Friends is my favorite TV show of all time. If you know me personally then you would know that I watch Friends every single day. Whether I am getting ready in the morning, eating a meal, or about to go to bed, I will turn on an episode of Friends. I may need to be on watch as Netflix gets rid of Friends in 2020…. I can’t think about the horror of it all right now. Anyway, Friends has been more than just a TV show for me, it has gotten me through the toughest and saddest of times. Days when the only thing that brought me joy was watching the beloved characters. But it has been there for me too through the happiest of days. When I am in the best of moods Rachel, Ross, Joey, Monica, Phoebe, and Chandler only elevated my happiness. Monica and Chandler will always be my favorite TV couple, Chandler will always be the perfectly-hilarious guy, Jack Geller will always be my favorite guest/supporting character, and Rachel will always be my style icon. Even though I have watched the entire series countless of times I still laugh, cry, and get angry at the same parts; it never gets old. I can’t believe Friends is celebrating 25 years. It makes me feel old but also grateful to have lived during the days when it originally aired. I loved it then and I love it even more now.
Before summer began I made a promise to myself that I would start reading every night before I go to bed. I enjoy pleasure reading and always have a book on my side table for me to read. Unfortunately I was not always reaching for the book instead opting for Netflix or my phone. It would take me a month or so to finish one book, even though I could have read it within a week or two. So in the beginning of summer I made a vow to myself to read as many books as I possibly had the time for. Since everyone, including myself, is always looking for book recommendations I thought I share what I read this past summer; the synopsis and my honest review of the book. If you haven’t read the book, do not read the review as it contains many spoilers. If you have read the book, look at this like a mini book club.
