“You don’t need all the things you think you need– to do all the things you feel called to do.

You have all you need, right now, right here– now go make life beautiful.”

-Tess Guinery

Happy Friday! This week was a rollercoaster of emotions with a side of hives. Yes I broke out in hives.. again. I was so stressed out last weekend that on Sunday I woke up with hives all over my chest and a few on my face… awesome. By Monday I hit a breaking point and started to sob. A few things in my life are just not working out anymore and I have to part ways. So I took Monday to sit in front of the TV and watch Gilmore Girls to cheer myself up. Perks of working from home, I took a day off. The weekend was not as great as the weekend before and I can NOT believe I did not talk about this during last Friday’s Simply Smitten Series. Well I can officially die now as I have peaked in NYC– I saw Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. I was reading in St. Vincent Triangle on 7th for most of the afternoon. Upon leaving I was crossing the street on 7th and a couple was coming towards me. At first I thought- oh that lady looks like SJP. Then I saw Matthew Broderick and internally started to freak out that I almost ran right into them. They suddenly just stopped in the middle of the crossing and without thinking I tried to go in between them then at the last second went around them. They had just come out of Elm Wellness, which was ironically exactly where I was going. Does this mean we are BFF’s now? I think so!!!!

phone apps

There seems to be an app for everything these days. From games to creating content to managing your bills, if you need it you can have it. Majority of my apps are used for creating content, I am constantly adding new ones which is why I always have storage issues. Sigh. Anyway, I do have a few apps on my phone for more practical functions likes reservations or keeping my health in-check. Here are a few apps I use daily on my phone.

We know that animal prints are a major trend this fall season. From snakeskin boots to leopard blouses, our fall outfits will look as if we are ready to go on a safari. A print that is not as mainstream but still holds the chicness of the animal kingdom is the zebra print. This autumn season I am being bold and stepping out with my zebra printed skirt. I wasn’t looking for such a unique print, but once I stumbled upon this beautiful skirt (under $100!) I knew it was one I was going to throw on time and time again.  (more…)

“once we stop craving for things to happen in a certain way we transcend our attachments and stop creating resistance,

which allows everything to flow our way with more ease.”

Happy Friday!! NYFW is officially over and now it’s time to relax… well sorta. After a typical semi-quiet summer my schedule is back to being a busy-body. Brands are hosting fall events, holiday content collaborations are in the works, and meetings are being scheduled. I have a lot of fun things on the horizon that I can not wait for, but first I must recover from fashion week.
