“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”

-Proverbs 3:5

Happy Friday!! Things are really starting to pick back up with lots of fun events and collaborations on the horizon. Plus with NYFW just around the corner, I am busy preparing and creating content. As of now my plan for NYFW is to sorta take a break from all of the madness, only going to a few shows and no events. I love fashion week– more than most bloggers and less than others. Some bloggers are completely over it and find that it no longer serves a purpose for their blog. Others thrive on fashion week, running from show to show. For me, fashion week is still a privilege that I am very grateful for. Without blogging, I know that I would most likely never be invited. I still find the joy and love of attending, seeing models walk down the runway wearing gorgeous clothing. What I am over is killing myself to go to everything, getting upset if I am not invited to certain parties or shows, and forcing myself to go to shows that I do not care about– only to get content. I want to focus on quality not quantity this year in everything I do. And this includes NYFW.

valentine's day outfit ideas

The season of love is upon us. I am looking forward to the city being decorated in hearts and shades of pink and red. Valentine’s Day is only two weeks away, and if you are like me, then you are already planning on what you are going to wear. One of the top trends for spring 2020 is polka-dots. I don’t want to call this a comeback, because polka-dots are always in style, but this coming season it will be everywhere. But before the spring season hits, why not be ahead of the trend by wearing polka-dots now. This cute ruffle bow-tie polka-dot dress (on sale!) is perfect for work or any professional setting, then taking it out on the town for happy hour. It’s playful, yet not over the top. I have paired it with knee-high boots but can easily be worn with heels and flats. It’s loose fitted, a shirtdress, but doesn’t feel like wearing a bag on your body. For size reference, I am wearing a size 0. This is a great alternative dress to wear to work that brings a little fun to your professional day.

Happy Friday!! I am excited it is finally Friday as I have fun plans this weekend. A few of my fitness friends (women I have met through working out) and I are attending workouts together this weekend and then heading to brunch both Saturday and Sunday. We are going to AK Dance taught by our friend Lindsay Howe and Precision Run taught by our other friend Sarah Grooms. It is going to be a fun weekend filled with friends, mimosas, and some serious sweat sessions!
