Month: March 2020

We are on week 2 of social distancing and self-quarantine, and New York City is on day 1 of complete lockdown. How long we will be on lockdown, no one knows, but it’s the best thing for the city to do right now to stop the spread of the coronavirus. If you are like me then you have been living in sweats. Dressing up right now means switching from my joggers to my faux leather leggings. I don’t even know what it’s like to put on real pants anymore. I am either wearing leggings, pajamas, athletic shorts, or joggers. This pandemic has really opened my eyes to the things that I do not have and should–like a thermometer, every type of cleaner and wipes, and obviously the most important, cute loungewear. It’s a pandemic in itself that I do not own more joggers. So I went shopping, online of course, to purchase more joggers. I have already bought this pink pair (in a small) and can’t wait to live in them. Here are the top 10 joggers I found; most are under $100 and on sale!

Happy Friday! What a week this has been…… A part of me keeps thinking this will end this week or next weekend, but the truth is, it may be much longer. The good news is that the virus in China is slowly starting to shift, with no new cases. There is a light starting to shine in the darkness. We may only be at the beginning of the virus here in America, but knowing that this will eventually be over gives me hope. Until then STAY HOME, do not go out and buy everything under the sun at the grocery store, and help others during this time. I have been texting friends to make sure they are ok mentally and physically. Right now I am more concerned about the mental health of my friends and family. I am concern about my own mental health as well.

When we were all first asked to be self-quarantined the threat of the virus really sunk in with most (not all but most.. insert eye roll) of us how serious this is. When it hit I took a step back and thought about my content. Where most of my content is pretty dresses and workout clothes, is it really of importance right now? The answer is no, it’s not. But as I mentioned in an earlier post this week, we must surround ourselves with things that we love. We need a positive light in the darkness of fear and uncertainty. For me, and most of you, fashion and shopping brings us joy. And on the plus side- it will help the economy. Luckily a few brands are having major sales right now. I don’t know about you, but the joy of waiting for a new top or face mask to arrive in the mail brings me hope. It’s something good to look forward to. Here are a few of the best sales to shop.

meditation

Right now what we all need is a little bit of mindfulness, grounding, calm, and silence. Whether you are a pro or a newbie, meditation can help you deal with all of the noise, fear, and frustration going on in your head. And the good news is that meditating has a lot more benefits than just silencing the mind.
