home decor

Spending so much time in my apartment I am starting to think about what changes I can make to freshen up the place. Anywhere from changing the coffee table to adding a lamp, making my apartment feel brand new again. I recently put up white curtains, which does freshen up the place a little. I have also been thinking of adding some artwork, switching out the throw pillows, and even adding decorative objects. It’s fun to reimagine my apartment space. Here are a few decor items I have in mind.

When I was in Ohio, my mom and I would drive to the Park of Roses to walk around the garden. For those of you who do not live in Columbus, Park of Roses is exactly how it sounds. It’s this huge park with baseball fields, playgrounds, standard park attributes, but it also has this large section filled with flowers and a beautiful water fountain. With a little research, I found out that Park of Roses is one of the largest public gardens in the U.S. They have a variety of roses like floribunda, damasks, gallicas, and centifolias, as well as perennials, herbs, bulbs, and ornamental trees.

Happy Friday! Tropical Storm Fay is about to make it’s appearance in NYC very soon. Right now it’s the calm before the storm. Personally, I love rainy days that feel serene. Days when you cuddled up with a blanket on the couch with a good book or while watching a movie. But I know this storm, however, once it hits has and will cause a lot of damage. So please be safe!

books

It’s time to share what books I read this past spring part two! If you missed part one, you can head here to this post. I really lucked out with reading some great books this past season. I throughly enjoyed each and every one of them. Sometimes you get a book that you read but you feel they are not all that interesting. Luckily, I would highly recommend each book I read on the two lists I created. As always, I give a little synopsis and then a review of the book which contains spoilers. So if you have not read the book yet, skip over the review. If you have the read book, please read the review and then email or DM me your thoughts on it! I always love chatting about the books I read with people. Enjoy!
