I have to admit that I have hit a wall when it comes to the pandemic. I feel as if I am floating in limbo, stagnant in all areas of my life. I do my best to stay positive and calm and trust that everything will turn out alright. But there are days I have full breakdowns. One thing I am struggling with right now is my creativity. (more…)

Happy Friday! Surprise I am in Ohio! I had to make a last minute trip back home for personal reasons. I drove home last Sunday and will be heading back to New York tomorrow. I missed the big snow storm in NYC, which was a bummer, but was able to enjoy the snow here in Columbus. And I do believe I will be back in time for the other snow storm heading towards New York soon. (more…)

Are you one of the millions of people obsessing over Bridgerton? Or perhaps you always submerge yourself in the beloved classic Pride and Prejudice? If so, then today’s book review is for you! Lately I have been into period pieces and stories of romance through both books and television. It takes you back to a time where you feel nostalgic for what was, but you also didn’t experience it. This time period is in the Victorian Era where men wore top hats and women wore corsets and large skirts. When people spoke of honor and duty. Had manners and protocols. When men would properly court women so there wouldn’t be a scandal. Evie Dunmore’s “A League of Extraordinary Women” series has all of that. But what Dunmore adds to her romance novels are women who are brilliant, determined, and fighting for equal rights. Much like Elizabeth Bennett, these women are educated, have opinions and ideas of their own and are not afraid to express it. I highly recommend this book series! (more…)

Have you been enjoying the snow these last few days? I spent a little time in the snow playing; throwing snow balls, making a snowman. Winter is here and thriving. The groundhog saw his shadow and we will be experiencing winter for 6 more weeks. As much as I have fun in the snow, I am much more of a summer gal. There are already so many cute spring dresses that are out right now that I currently want. Until then I am going to bundle up in my faux fur coat. (more…)
