Happy Friday! Cue the Justin Timberlake memes because tomorrow it’s gonna be May. And not only is it the 1st of May, but it’s also the Kentucky Derby!! I am so excited for the race tomorrow but bummed I will not be at a party sipping mint juleps while wearing a wide brim hat. Next year perhaps! As of now I do not know who I am rooting for in the Run for the Roses. I do hear Essential Quality and Rock Your World are the crowd favorites. No matter who wins it will surely be an exciting few minutes. (more…)

Now that spring is here and the weather is warmer, we can finally put away our heavy coats. When I am running errands around town during the week I always opt to wear athleisure; a pair of leggings, sneakers, and a comfortable top underneath a heavy coat. With spring I can trade in the coat for a light weight jacket or sweatshirt. (more…)

Mother’s Day is right around the corner. My how time is flying by. It’s nice that we have a day dedicated to the women in our lives that are always there to pick up us, support us, love us unconditionally, and teach us life lessons. But really, one day is not enough. Mother’s Day should be every day. Especially after the year we have had, our mother’s deserve the world. They taught homeschool while doing their full-time job. They made sure their kids were healthy and happy amongst chaos and uncertainty. And in my case, my mom had to listen to many tearful conversations about my future. She also drove 9 hours back and forth from Columbus to NYC many times just so I could be safe at home. The woman deserves a parade. But the next best thing would be to give her one of these great gift ideas for Mother’s Day.  (more…)

Last year when the pandemic hit I, like many others, went home to their parents house for a few months. While I was back home in Columbus I helped my parents out in their garden as it was the beginning of spring. A time to give life and color to the yard surrounding our house. (more…)
