Happy Friday! We went from hurricane to heatwave here in New York City. I am waiting patiently for the cool, crisp days. The older I get, the more I appreciate the colder seasons. As the world slowly but surely reopens, many of you are heading back into the office. Whether it’s for a few days a week or permanently back, you may want to shop for new workwear. To freshen up your wardrobe making it easier to be back at work. Heading back to the office may feel like the first day of school where you want to dress to impress. Especially after a year’s worth of zoom meetings where you barely brushed your hair and wore a nice blouse with pajamas pants. This time next week I will be sitting court side in the Arthur Ashe stadium watching the first round of the US Open. It’s still TBD who will be playing; whether it’s men’s or women’s singles. Although I am hoping it’s someone like Murray or Osaka, I am perfectly happy with watching anyone play. I just want to watch tennis in person. (more…)

Happy Friday! It’s the start of my birthday celebration! My birthday is on Tuesday, but I will be celebrating this entire weekend. I have mixed feelings about turning another year older, as I guess we all do as the years roll on. Am I where I thought I would be at the age? No. Am I happy? Yes. I am at the age, or at least the point in my life, where I am learning to let go of expectation and control and let God take the reins. Trusting in God’s plan, even if I do not completely see the path. Nevertheless I am happy. I love my life, who I have become, and where I am hopefully headed. I think 36 will be the best year yet.
