As we now move onto part 2 of what books I read this past spring season, it was relatively hard to figure out a theme. They are all so vastly different. Yet the more I pondered the stories, the more I began to realize they were not so different. It’s about taking control of your life. Healing from the past and creating the life you want for yourself. Each book is inspiring, juicy, and will teach you a thing or two to hold onto for the rest of your life. (more…)

Spring has come and go, leaving a list of books I have read to share with all of you. The theme of this past season seemed to be about the relationship we have with ourselves. For the last part of the series, these two books are about fictional takes on historical events. I am into historical fiction, whether it is books, movies, or television. I find it fascinating to learn about history through a captivating, imaginative story. Staying on theme with the other books I read this past winter, these two books are mostly about following your own path and not the path that others have laid out for you. (more…)

It’s finally spring, which means it’s time to share all of the books I read this past winter. Looking back on the books I read, I find the running theme to be creating your own destiny and going for the life that you want. This is something I am trying to do in my current life. It seems fitting that I was attractive to this genre. All, of course, are love stories in a way. From relationships with family, friends, significant others, and most importantly, the relationship you have with yourself. Enjoy part 1 of my winter book review.  (more…)
