As we transition into the fall season, I am not quite ready to throw on jeans and a heavy sweater. It is still warm enough to wear a dress around town or while working from home. I am all about maxi and midi dresses these days that I can easily throw on; paired with sneakers for an everyday look, heels for a dinner date, or booties later on in the season. This floral navy dress has been one that I reach for day after day to throw on. I love the easiness of it; not form-fitting at all. It’s a little on the baggy side, I am wearing an x-small for size reference. I like that it is not form-fitting so it gives room for comfort and mobility. If you were to want a more fitted look you could easily cinch the waist with a belt, but I prefer for it to be loose. Once the weather gets a little chillier, I can throw on a sweater over it creating a two-piece look. A fall throw on dress that is comfortable, cute, and versatile is all I need this season.

fall decor

Living in a small studio apartment in New York, I do not have the luxury to have seasonal decor. There isn’t anywhere to store such items. Of course, I have little decorative objects for holidays, mostly Christmas. Ok, only for Christmas. But I do enjoy, however, browsing seasonal and holiday decor. I ponder what it would be like to have a house where I can switch out pillow covers, put up a wreath, have specialty plates, and more. I’ve gathered a few cute fall decor ideas for the season. Giving your home a warm harvest vibe.

The pandemic has made us slow down, forcing us to spend more time with ourselves and loved ones. We learned to bake, tried to piece together puzzles, sat through movie marathons, and picked up a book to read. Restaurants have turned the streets into a magical al fresco experience. Museums are less crowded, allowing us to gaze at the art as long as we desire. We became creative in how we spend our time. Date nights are more about conversations and intimacy.  A walk in the park is romantic again. We realized that it’s not what you do but who you spend your time with. Knowing that this special person wants to be with you doing the simplest things in life, well I can’t think of anything better. (more…)

fall sweaters

Summer is slipping away as each day passes. In the mornings we have a taste of fall with crisp, cool weather. Allowing us to throw on an extra layer over our flowy dresses while we walk to the local cafe. Although I am not ready to bid summer goodbye, I do welcome the cooler breeze. As the season changes, it’s time for us to start adding new pieces to our fall closet. Sweaters are among some of my favorite items to shop for during the fall. Comfortable and soft, I can never get enough of this cozy garment. From over-sized to embroidered, I am ready to add a variety of sweaters to my wardrobe. I have already bought this and this embroidered sweater and can not wait to wear them! Here are some of my other must-have sweaters for the fall season.
