One of the many unfortunate things we can not do during quarantine is to go to the hair salon. My roots have grown out significantly– please send your thoughts and prayers. To hide my roots I am wearing headbands to cover it up. Ever since I can remember I have loved wearing headbands. For the past few years, headbands have made a comeback as a top trend and are better than ever. From embellished to prints to knotted, headbands are a fashion must-have. Since we are currently in quarantine headbands are a great way to not do your hair but still look put together. When I jump on Zoom calls, go to the grocery store or creating content, I am wearing a headband. It’s an accessory that you can never have too many of. Here are the top 10 headbands I have my eye on.

Piano Lessons
It’s no surprise that I love to dance. From my many Insta Stories to my TikTok (@blushandblooms), I have been sharing my love of dance throughout social media. Another part of my life that I haven’t shared as much is music. I come from a musical family; my mother plays the clarinet, my sister plays the drums, my grandfather was in the Ohio State Marching Band (TBDBITL), and other members of my family play the trombone, violin, guitar, flute, and the piano. My dad doesn’t play any instruments but he likes to draw and paint– a few of his paintings and drawings are hung up around my parent’s house. As for me, I am not as well-versed as other members of my family when it comes to playing instruments, but I can play the piano….well, beginners and intermediate.
What To Wear On Easter
In yesterday’s post, I talked about the importance of still celebrating Easter even though we are currently in a pandemic. Easter is a renewal of hope, faith, and light after darkness. Since we have nowhere else to go for Easter besides from the couch to the dinner table, you may not want to dress up this year for the holiday. However, we have been living in sweats with our hair in scrunchies for the past month that Easter is a great excuse to get dressed up. No, you do not have to get dressed to the nines, but maybe a cute jumpsuit or dress would make you feel put together and chic again. I recently bought this jumpsuit and am planning on wearing it for dinner in my parent’s dining room. Heck, I may even wear it while watching Sunday service via steaming. Here are a few comfortable yet chic options to wear on Easter no matter what you are doing to celebrate.
Feeling Comfortable And Chic In Jumpsuits
jumpsuit // slippers c/o // headband
I am at the point of quarantine where I am so over wearing sweats all of the time. I had a Zoom chat with friends last night and I put on a little mascara for it, felt like a whole new woman. Although it is nice to feel comfy all of the time, I am trying to find ways to boost my mood and make myself feel better. Jumpsuits are one way, I have found, to stay comfortable yet still feel put together. You can lounge around in a jumpsuit now, then once we are free you can wear it everywhere. I have jumpsuits that I have worn to events with kitten heels and have worn it to the grocery store with my sneakers. Right now I am wearing my jumpsuits around the house with slippers.
