atlantic pacific x halogen

bow top // pants (similar) // white booties // circle bag // sunglasses

The holiday season is the busiest time of year for blogging. From events to meetings to holiday celebrations, there is a lot going on. I need to be able to go from a meeting where I may want to look professional to an event where I want to look fashionable. Since Blair, from Atlantic Pacific, launched her 2nd collection with Halogen and Nordstrom I have been cultivating new items from the line. Most of what I purchased was geared towards items I can wear from day to evening. Doing what I do I have the freedom to play around with my workwear attire for times when I need to look a little bit more professional. This bow blouse I instantly knew I had to have. I love the oversized bow and organza material. Unfortunately the plaid print is currently no longer available but it does come in other colors- and I honestly am thinking of getting another one in a more solid color. This bow top is professionally fashionable and will elevate your work attire.

thanksgiving outfits

Next week is Thanksgiving and I, for one, am ready to gobble down some turkey and pumpkin pie. For the day of thanks, my parents host a family dinner with all of my relatives. My entire family is extremely close, so being together is a joy. Our dinner attire is casual nice. We are not dinning in our best, but are not in sweats and athleisure wear. For dinner we dress in nice sweaters and pants or skirts and casual dresses. Right now I have a few outfit ideas on what I want to wear while getting a second helping of stuffing. I have this black sweater dress that is so comfortable. A great outfit choice is stretch leggings and an oversized sweater. A skirt or a flowy dress and boots would be cute for a more elevated look. Whatever you decide to wear this Thanksgiving, make sure you are comfortable!

sail to sable

dress c/o  (comes as a top) // shoes- Tory Burch // clutch (similar)  // sunglasses

The holiday party invitations are starting to slowly arrive in my mailbox. This is my favorite time of the year when everything is so festive and people are in a jolly good mood. I live for holiday soirées; dressing up in sparkles and fancy attire. This sparkle and fringe dress from Sail to Sable, I am planning on wearing it a lot this season and maybe even New Year’s Eve. It’s a classic black dress but with a dash of sparkle and fringe. This is a dress I can wear for years to come.

Draper James

coat c/o // jeans (similar) // white booties // circle bag // sunglasses

My favorite part of dressing for the fall and winter season is wearing coats. I am always buying new ones, hoarding old ones, and coveting over ones that I have yet to own. Each outfit needs its own outerwear that best represents it. Different styles to choose from that completes the entire look. When I saw this purple plaid swing coat I knew it would be perfect for casual fall days. There is a bonus to it… it’s reversible. I forgot to shoot it wearing the reversible side, my apologies, but you can head to the Draper James website to see the gingham look. The reason why I have been wearing the purple plaid side is because I do not own anything that has such colors. I find this side to be the prettiest, but will definitely be turning it inside out for whenever it strikes my mood to do so. Anyway, when you have a coat that is reversible it’s like buying two coats in one! You can get completely different looks out of just one comfy wool coat.
