The weather here in New York has been pretty wonderful. From 60 degrees this past weekend to now being sunny and 50 degrees, I’ll take any kind of warm weather. Usually, at this time of year, I am cooped up in my apartment avoiding gushing winds and snowfall. This, of course, means I want to be out and about enjoying the spring-like weather. I love any excuse to wear a dress, especially as chic and classic as this one.  So when the weather is warm during the winter season, I have no choice but to dress up.

Christmas time is here! I have all of my shopping done, but I still have not wrapped any gifts. That is on my agenda for today. There are many Christmas traditions I am looking forward to doing; going to church, heading to my neighbors for their Christmas Eve party, watching White Christmas, my dad reading The Polar Express (when we were little), and my favorite tradition- the wrapping competition.

Holiday parties are not always ugly sweaters and tartan plaids, sometimes they require more formal attire. Here in the city black-tie affairs happen, well, almost every week. Having an evening gown on hand is always a good idea; you never know when you may receive a last-minute invite to a gala. This polka-dot evening gown is one to keep in your closet for such affairs.
