Ever get in a rut with your clothes? I feel this way a lot, especially in the winter time. I use Rent The Runway often to events and everyday attire, but when I return something, a situation comes up that I want the piece and it’s no longer available. Spring and summer are my favorite seasons of the year, especially the clothing! It’s really the only two seasons where I shop way more than I should. How can I not when there are so many cute dresses, swimsuits, tops and shoes to choose from. My online shopping bags are starting to get full and I am ready to hit purchase on a few items. Would love to hear what is on your list this spring?

Lilac Power Suit
blazer // pants // circle bag c/o // nude heels // sunglasses // pearl barrette
It’s safe to say that I have a thing for suits. From my pink suit to my new lilac suit, I love to look professional and stylish at the same time. A good power suit isn’t just for the office, as we have discussed before. The working girl vibe is still a top trend and one I do not believe will go away any time soon. (more…)
The Animal Print Dress
jaguar dress // nude heels // circle bag c/o // sunglasses
A trend that has stand the test of time is the animal print. From leopard to jaguar to python, brands have been creating garments in this wildlife print for many years. Some may say it can be considered a neutral. It’s true that you can pair animal prints to any color, mixing it with other prints however, not my forte. The tricky thing about animal print is that it has to be the right style. It can come off as tacky if you are not careful. I guess it’s open to interpretation on what looks tacky or not, but for me when there is too much going on (added studs or colors) or you are in head to toe leopard, it is tacky. When purchasing items that are in animal print I take into careful consideration as to what shade is the print, how big or small are the spots, and how cheap the material looks. I have a few leopard items in my closet– flats and a blouse from J.Crew (vintage circa 5 years ago), but I have been shying away from animal prints ever since, until now.
The Best Hair Accessory Trends
Forget what bag you are carrying or the must have shoe item, hair accessories are the biggest trend of the moment. From runways to street styles, I am seeing more and more women embrace hair accessories. I, for one, am loving that headbands, barrettes, and scrunchies are getting their dues. I have always been a big fan of headbands for most of my life. I instantly jumped on the turban headband trend with this pearl headband. You may have noticed me wearing this pearl barrette lately, and just bought this pearl clip to change up my looks. As I love the double barrette look, I can wear both together or separate. Another trend is criss-crossing multiple bobby pins on the side of your head. Most brands had this look for their runway shows during fashion week. I am fully diving into the hair accessory trend and think you should too! It’s a style everyone can easily pull off and goes well with different signature looks. Here are a few of my favorite accessories.
