An Everyday Fall Outfit
top // silk scarf // high waisted jeans // pink booties // shoulder bag // sunglasses
When it comes to dressing I enjoy the art of simplicity. During the cold seasons I tend to dress more casual. I’ll throw on jeans paired with a simple top and call it a day. With the simplicity of the outfit you can dress it up or down by how you accessorize it. It’s an everyday fall outfit that you can wear anywhere.

Here I elevated the white blouse with a printed silk scarf, and the jeans with pink booties. Easily switch out the booties for flats or sneakers and instead of a silk scarf wear a large cotton scarf. It’s an outfit that can be worn anywhere; out to dinner, to events, running errands, etc. Now that the weather is sadly in freezing temperatures, you can throw on any overcoat. No matter what it will go! Simplicity is key in the fall season but don’t forget to have fun with accessories!
Parisian Inspired Fall Attire
turtleneck sweater // plaid skirt // over the knee high boots // circle bag // beret // sunglasses
Since college I have been obsessed with Paris. The romantic aura, beautiful parks, fascinating architecture, the fashion and culture, museums; I’ve been dreaming about experiencing it all. I took up learning french on language apps, celebrate Bastille day and take notes on what french girls wear, all in the spirit of my french ancestry. My great grandparents were born and raised in France, so it is in my blood (along with being British and Irish). Sadly I have never been to Paris, although I have been dreaming about it for so long. It seems that every time I plan on going I end up not being able to– like next week I have the opportunity to go to Paris with a few friends but chose not too because of having to buy all new furniture plus the holidays. I need to save money (perks of working for yourself and living in New York). Someday I will go to Paris and relish in all of the magic that it has to offer. Until then I’ll stick to taking cues on style inspiration.
What To Wear On Thanksgiving
Have you stumbled upon the meme that said Thanksgiving is 5 weeks away, better start planning what you are going to wear to the living room. It made me chuckle at how true it is. I have always been one that plans on what to wear to a certain occasion far in advanced. Even when the occasion is located in my parents living room. Our family Thanksgiving is semi-nice; you do not have to dress to the nines but you can’t wear sweats either. Jeans are ok if you have a nice blouse. The key to dressing for turkey day is to wear something that is nice yet comfortable. Something you can get a 2nd helping of pumpkin pie and not look like you need to be rolled out of their. I always opt for leggings, with a sweater. Other options are to wear it with a wrap or to wear a sweater dress with mules, wide legged pants with a nice blouse, a casual skirt with a turtleneck sweater. If your Thanksgiving is a little bit more elevated, a silk skirt or an over-sized blazer would be perfect to give thanks in. This year I have an idea on what I want to wear, but it is always nice to have a back-up plan.
