rehearsal dinner dress

 

 

When the vast majority of my friends were getting married (also my sister) I enjoyed helping them pick out a dress to wear for their rehearsal dinner. Most girls will wear white to the dinner but there is no written rule that one can’t wear color or pattern. If I were getting married I am not sure which route I would take, probably would end up wearing white as I personally love little white dresses, but I am not oppose to a little color. Wearing a cocktail dress that does not look like it was made for a bride means you can rewear the dress again.

NYFW street style trends

 

Another fashion week has come and go. I had a wonderful time seeing brands and designers collection for fall ready to wear for 2018. The biggest take from the shows is for us to expect a lot of color next season. It seems everyone is trying to make winter not so gloomy and dark. Although there were many trends we saw on the runway, some of the best were from all of the attendees. People watching during NYFW is truly the best. Some outfits are outrageous, some inspire me to up my game, and some are just not my style. Many trends are happening at the moment that was clear from the streets of fashion week like layering, faux furs, white or red ankle boots, Gucci belts, transparency, and sneakers. Through all of the trends the were 4 that I consistently saw from the world’s most fashionable people.

velvet blazer

We are at the end of fashion week and I am feeling exhausted but very inspired. I still have a few shows on the schedule and lots of events to attend to, so it isn’t quite time for me to relax just yet. One of the biggest trends I saw on the streets of fashion week is the velvet blazer. Velvet is a huge trend this winter season and from what I saw walking down the runway it will still be a trend next season.
