The 4th of July is quickly approaching! It’s time to start figuring out what to wear to celebrate Independence Day with a cute red, white, and blue outfit. For the 4th of July I usually like to wear a dress. It’s easy and comfortable to wear from the morning parade to evening fireworks and every cookout in between. This year I will be in Columbus for the 4th. My hometown of Upper Arlington gets really into the 4th of July, it’s an all day spectacle. I bought this Maxwell and Geraldine stripe dress in blue to wear on the 4th. The city of Columbus host an annual massive fireworks display on the 3rd of July called Red, White, and Boom. I haven’t celebrated the 3rd of July since my early 30’s, but just in case one of my friends decides to have a cookout I am ready with my navy nap dress. I also bought this white romper for a costume change. Only kidding…. I am taken it with me for a backup plan. Besides it makes for a great summer outfit to throw on to go run errands or meet up with friends for dinner. The 4th of July is the best time to get dressed up and enjoy festivities with family and friends. Here are a few 4th of July outfit ideas wear while you celebrate America. (more…)

Top 10: Summer Sunglasses
If you have been following me for a while then you know that I always wear sunglasses in my photos. This isn’t to embody some mystique, it’s because I have sensitive eyes. You would rather me wear sunglasses than look like I am crying in my photos. When it comes to wearing sunglasses, I don’t always follow trends of the season. No futuristic vibes for me. I buy what I like and usually in either black or tortoiseshell. Lately, however, I have been getting tired of my bland sunglasses. There are many summer sunglass trends to sport like large aviators, Y2K styles, rectangular shape, and playful colors. One trend I do love that has been around for a while now is the clear frame sunglasses. I just bought these recently and can’t wait to wear them! Another trend that I am on board with is the cat-eye sunglasses; timeless and chic. It feels like the white cat-eye sunglasses are gracing my social media feeds more and more each day. Although I doubt I will plunge into that particular style, I am eyeing these cat-eye sunglasses. And for something colorful I have also been eyeing these pink sunglasses. Here are 10 summer sunglasses that I am currently coveting. (more…)

Father’s Day Gift Ideas
Father’s Day is right around the corner and it’s time to start thinking of what to give the men in our lives. From grilling tools to sports accessories to clothing, there is so many great gift ideas for Father’s Day. I bought my dad new handkerchiefs, and will probably get him something else as well. Yes, he still uses handkerchiefs- the man is old school. Another gift idea I toyed with was getting him some outdoor games like the ladder toss game. I think he would enjoy playing it during family cookouts. My guy friends from Columbus have started playing pickleball at the club, so a new pickleball paddle would be a great gift. For something he can get a lot of use out of; a new pair of pajamas or a new pullover to wear. If your husband or father is a big golf fan, I thought these golf club bottle openers were cute. For something that he may need; a new duffle bag or a toiletry bag. Here are a few more gift ideas to shop for Father’s Day. (more…)
