Hill House Home has launched their newest collection, University. Here you can shop new nap dresses in different colors and prints. They have also launched new items such as coats, sweaters, headbands, and journals. I lived in my nap dress all summer and can’t wait to add a new one to wear this fall. I can’t decide between the emerald botanical poplin or the plum floral jacquard color. I need to decided soon as I believe items will sell out fast! Earlier in the spring I was looking for dresses that I can lounge in around the house, while also being able to wear out and about. I stumbled upon this floral maxi dress an immediately bought it. I wasn’t able to wear it during the summer, as it was too hot to. Now I am excited to pull it out of my closet for the early days of fall. It may not be your typical fall color palette, but I do not mind. I can easily throw a chunky sweater over it to give it a fall look. It comes in a few other prints with a darker color palette that you can wear with boots for the fall season. Perhaps you are heading to warmer climates and need a vacation dress to brunch in. When we think of wedding season, spring and summer come to mind. The truth is, however, weddings take place all year round. My sister had a beautiful winter wedding years ago the week between Christmas and New Years. Luckily I was in the wedding so I didn’t have to worry about what to wear. When spring and summer approach, it is easy to find a flowy floral dress to wear to a wedding. Once fall hits it’s a little more challenging in the wedding guest department. (more…)

As someone who rather wear a dress rather than a pair of jeans, I try to hold off on fall attire until I absolutely have to. One way I do this is by transitioning my summer dresses into a fall look. This green floral dress can be worn well into the fall season by pairing it with white booties or sneakers. Throw on a sweater over it; creating a sweater / skirt combination, paired with booties for a fall look. Summer dresses really can be versatile in the crisp season.
