When the world stopped last year, so did all of the wonderful celebrations. We stopped gathering for birthdays, holidays, special events, and weddings. Since everything was put on pause, you can bet that moving forward our calendars will be filled. As the saying goes April showers bring May flowers. We have to weather a few rainy days to enjoy all the wonderfulness that spring has to offer. But just because the weather is gloomy, does not mean we can’t don a chic sartorial style. Years ago I decided to purchase a classic trench coat. The kind that made me feel like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I think every woman after their late 20’s should own a classic trench. Something you can wear to work, out to dinner, or while running errands. A coat that is effortlessly timeless. When do you officially start wearing white dresses? I know the fashion rule is after Memorial Day, but skirt the rules. I say you can start wearing white dresses now. At least by the end of this month. My rule is after Easter you can start wearing your brightest of clothes and your white dresses. Style your white dress with a cute cardigan or blazer. Perhaps drape a sweater over your shoulders, then throw it on once it gets chilly. This will make your white dress look more like a transitional piece than a summer style. (more…)

With the spring season comes many rainy days. This past Sunday the rain never stopped, making it a stay-at-home watching movies all day kind of day. I didn’t mind it, I find the rain on Sunday’s to be peaceful. I got to wear my cute pink feathered pajamas and lounged on the couch. I know we are all tired of lounging around the house. I, myself, have a hard time doing nothing these days. But I will take any chance I can get to wear my feathered pajamas. (more…)
