If you are like me then you need a desperate break from the headache of this election. I took these past few days off for my own mental health, but now I feel it’s time to get back to life. Last fall season the item that I coveted the most was a sweater dress. I would buy and return, trying to find the perfect one. Some were too big and others were either too short or tight. I finally found this black sweater dress from J.Crew. Unfortunately, after only wearing it twice I got a hole that can’t be repaired (wasn’t the quality of the dress, I snagged it on something and it ripped). I may repurchase it as it is back in stock this year, but I am browsing other options. I have recently bought this one in oatmeal (comes in other colors). I have received it, but have yet to try it on. Should probably do it soon. I also bought this one in gray (comes in other colors), and am patiently waiting for its arrival.  Although I have purchased new sweater dresses, I am still on the prowl. We have finally made it to the holiday season! After the year we have had, we deserve a little merry. I, for one, am just glad I have something to look forward to. However you are celebrating the holidays this year, with friends or family, the season brings us all joy and happiness. Something we all need right now. I will be heading home soon for the remainder of the year to celebrate the holidays with my family and to meet my new niece! (more…)

Today we are taking a break from the usual program of florals to talk about men’s fall attire. What are gents wearing this fall season? As I walk around the city I notice the usual Barbour jacket, Patagonia vest look sported by men. Rarely do I see men in a suit and tie these days and when I do, I have to do a double-take as it looks out of place. Most men are utilizing comfort and style. A cozy cardigan over a t-shirt for a day look, then switched to a button-down for an evening look. A simple long-sleeve t-shirt to easily throw on on the go. A classic half-zip sweater elevates a date night look. I have gathered some more stylish men’s attire below to wear this fall season.
