The pandemic has changed many things in our lives. We are completely digital; working from home, spending time with friends and family through Zoom calls. We have spent more time watching television than hugging our loved ones. We don’t know what the future may hold, where it may take us. Some are leaving the city to move to the suburbs. Some are completely changing their careers as their jobs are currently nonexistent. And some of us are adjusting to isolation, finding the stillness of being alone. A lot has changed in just a few short months, we must make do with what we have, adjust the way we live, and find the blessing in everyday life.

This year hasn’t been easy for any of us. Whether we have been personally affected by COVID, the political climate of our country, the hours spent alone being quarantine, or any of the other curve balls 2020 has thrown at us. This year has taken a toll on our mental health. For me, my anxiety levels are high. I pray harder than ever for the health and safety of loved ones and for myself. I stay up at night thinking about the future and what it may hold. And I am starting to feel the bearing of loneliness from the lack of real human connections.

While it’s true that I mostly wear dresses during the summertime, I occasionally will throw on a pair of shorts and a cute top. I have never been one who can wear white pants during the summer and commend those of you who do. There are lots of pretty summer tops that I have missing out on because of my lack of wearing bottoms. Luckily for me, summer is not over, giving me plenty of time to throw on shorts and a summer top to frolic around the city. Here are some cute summer tops that I have my eye on.
