For the past week or so we have been experiencing fall-like temperatures here in New York. The cooler weather calls for cozy layers. As we are still in the mist of a pandemic, working from home is our new normal. There is so much we have had to change, including our daily outfits. We went through the sweatpants stage when we thought this would last a few weeks. Then onto the sunshine seasons where we spent our days in flowy summer dresses. Now that we are back to the crisp-fall air, I predict that athleisure will be our daily outfit of choice. We want to feel comfort, yet still look cute. Athleisurewear has been a Godsend during this past week where I can easily slip on my new favorite pair of leggings (under $30) and a fleece jacket. In the summer I could slip into a dress and be on my way, now I have to think about pants, tops, and what jacket to wear. Running out to grab coffee or go grocery shopping shouldn’t cause you to stare at your closet for way too long, trying to figure out what to wear. Or mayve that is just me. Anyway, a cute fleece pullover or zip-up allows you to stay comfortable in your athleisurewear while still looking cute and put together. Here are some fleece jackets that will be your favorite purchase this fall season.

Top 10: Fall Booties
Pull out your sweaters, pick apples from a tree, and sip on a hot beverage because it is officially fall! Although the weather does not quite permit heavy layers and boots, I am starting to formulate my fall seasonal wardrobe. Booties are the number one sought after item for the fall. Right now I am wearing my booties with dresses and skirts for a more transitional look. Last year I bought these white booties – which I have been coveting for a long time- and have worn them with almost every outfit during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. This season I am looking for a tan or brown bootie. Here are a few booties I have gathered to shop for the crisp fall.
Silk Scarves For Fall
When you think of the fall season, one item that comes to your mind are scarves. The cozy quintessential fall item you wrap around your body to keep yourself warm. Today, however, we are not talking about the blanket-like item that keeps you snug, we are talking about silk scarves. I call silk scarves the decor of accessories. Their purpose is to add detail, to elevate your outfit. Silk scarves are seasonless; wear hanging loosely over a shift dress, tied around your neck with a button-up, or draped over your shoulders with a sweater. Over the years I have accumulated a few silk scarves of different sizes and colors. My dream is to own a classic Hermés and/or Chanel silk scarf. Anyway, I much prefer the larger scarves so I can fold it into a triangle; a portion hanging on my back and tied in the front. I also love to let it hang loosely, as seen above. Here are a few silk scarves I have on my radar that can be worn not only during the fall season but throughout the year.
Fall Throw-On Dress
dress // shoes (similar) // handbag // headband // earrings // sunglasses
As we transition into the fall season, I am not quite ready to throw on jeans and a heavy sweater. It is still warm enough to wear a dress around town or while working from home. I am all about maxi and midi dresses these days that I can easily throw on; paired with sneakers for an everyday look, heels for a dinner date, or booties later on in the season. This floral navy dress has been one that I reach for day after day to throw on. I love the easiness of it; not form-fitting at all. It’s a little on the baggy side, I am wearing an x-small for size reference. I like that it is not form-fitting so it gives room for comfort and mobility. If you were to want a more fitted look you could easily cinch the waist with a belt, but I prefer for it to be loose. Once the weather gets a little chillier, I can throw on a sweater over it creating a two-piece look. A fall throw on dress that is comfortable, cute, and versatile is all I need this season.
