When the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started the first thing I shopped for was activewear. I knew that this was the perfect time to grab a few items to workout in for a more affordable price. And to be honest, I wear more activewear daily than I do regular clothes. I bought this top (in black) from the Nordstrom Sale and have been wearing it to my workout classes. Since the sale began I started thinking about how activewear can really be expensive. There are so many cute workout sets that I would love to have but find to be overly priced. Maybe some day I’ll treat myself and get a matching pair of leggings with a crop top but until then I’ll settle for more affordable quality items. Since the Nordstrom Sale will not last forever, sadly, I thought I’d round up a few cute activewear items that are under $100. This way you won’t break the bank and you can still work on your fitness goals while looking cute!

How You Can Help Clean Up The Ocean With Parley x adidas
For over a year I have been trying to educate myself of the importance of keeping our earth clean. It is not that I didn’t care before, I mean as a child I was deeply affected by Ferngully and went around my neighborhood to raise money for the rainforest. I think in the past I was not truly paying attention to what exactly is happening to our environment. Now that I know, I hate to tell you guys but it is not looking good. I believe we have about 25 years max to fix this problem. My interest or my awareness sparked when I went to a luncheon last year about sustainability. Since then I have been trying to inform myself about wearing sustainable clothes (still have a hard time since not every brand is), learning about climate change, landfills, pollution, and ocean clean up.
Fit For Summer
Bikini season is around the corner, which means it’s time to amp up our workouts to achieve that summer body we have been working towards (ugh… goodbye tacos). While I may not have the 6 pack abs I ordered for the summer, I at least want to go into the season feeling healthy and happy with my body. I have started to incorporate more HIIT workouts into my regimen along with changing up my workouts weekly. As I am usually in a dance cardio class I am trying to cut it down to only one dance class a week and fill the rest with either sculpt, pilates reformer, yoga, boxing, and HIIT. Along with going to only one dance class I will (hopefully soon) be running outside to get my cardio in.
Why Intermittent Fasting Is Not For Everyone
When it comes to health and wellness I am up for trying anything, at least once. From being a vegetarian to the Keto diet, I am still trying to figure out what works best for my body. As we get older our body changes. My food lifestyle, as I like to call it, needs to continuously evolve with the changes of my body. Unfortunately I have the type of body that can easily gain weight. I’ve never been one who can eat an entire pantry of food and not gain a pound. With this I know that I have to maintain a regular schedule of exercise and to eat a healthy diet. For the past year I have been indulging more than I have been eating clean, and it has really shown in how I feel and look. I know beautiful is not a number. I still wear a size 2 and I am sure most of my weight is muscle, but two weeks ago when I went to the doctor for check up, I was shocked to see that I had gained weight since my last visit back in January. I was shocked because I was doing Intermittent Fasting for the past month and a half.
