This past year has been all about comfort. As we have more than ever been staying home, what we wear daily has changed. In the summer I would throw on a casual dress and be on my merry way. Now that the fall season is here and the temperature has cooled, we are back to wearing sweats and activewear. If 2020 has taught us anything about our fashion choices, it’s shown us that we can be comfortable and glam at the same time. adidas new Glam On collection lets us stay cozy and comfortable while still being our glamorous selves day and night. This means that summer collections are currently on sale! This is the best time to grab the item(s) you have been eyeing all season long. The good news is that the dog days of summer are not over and you will have plenty of time to wear your cute new outfit. Looking back through all of the outfits I have worn this past season I noticed a few that are currently on sale. Here are 3 summer outfits on sale, plus a few similar looks to shop.
Activewear For Under $100
At the beginning of the pandemic, I wasn’t too keen on doing at-home workouts. I enjoy going to the studio; seeing familiar faces, being challenged by an instructor or fellow participant to work harder, having fun while sweating. Sure it was nice to have a little break from over-exhausting my body, and my body really needed this break. I was experiencing shoulder, neck, and back issues at the beginning of the year. Now I do not have as much of an issue and if I have any inflammation in my muscles or joints, I do workouts that are low impact like yoga or fast-pace walking for a few miles.
Game Set Match
This past weekend I was riding bikes around the neighborhood with my dad. As we approached the park we saw that the tennis nets were back up and ready for the summer. Do to COVID-19 they were taken down to ensure social distancing. After seeing the nets back up and people playing, I asked my dad if he wanted to get a match in or two before I head back to New York in a few weeks. My dad is pretty good at tennis, played for Wabash in college. I took lessons as a kid but quit because it was too hot… melodramatic even then. Although I quit taking lessons, I continued to enjoy the sport by playing with my dad at the park and at the club or hitting the ball against my parent’s garage (to their patient dislike). And of course, watching the US Open and Wimbledon. A few years ago I took lessons at Midtown Tennis Club with Sam. It was a lot of fun playing again, but I have to admit I am not the best. I hit a lot of moonballs and some even over the roof. Oops! But I improved as the weeks went on. Although I do like to think I am the next Serena Williams.
