Holiday Gift Guide

fathers day gifts

Father’s Day is right around the corner and it’s time to start thinking about what to gift the men in our lives. After the year we have had being stuck indoors, gifting him outdoors games will be greatly appreciated. Perhaps a duffle bag and a portable lantern for his next camping trip with the guys. If he is into sports, a new tennis bag or personalized golf balls will up his game. For the men who like to stay home and watch movies, this pajamas set will keep him cozy as he sips on either a cocktail or coffee in this warmer set. If he is heading back to the office or needs new clothes, Brooks Brother’s is having a 25% sale for Father’s Day! From dads to husbands, there is a gift for every man in our lives. (more…)

mothers day gifts

Mother’s Day is right around the corner. My how time is flying by. It’s nice that we have a day dedicated to the women in our lives that are always there to pick up us, support us, love us unconditionally, and teach us life lessons. But really, one day is not enough. Mother’s Day should be every day. Especially after the year we have had, our mother’s deserve the world. They taught homeschool while doing their full-time job. They made sure their kids were healthy and happy amongst chaos and uncertainty. And in my case, my mom had to listen to many tearful conversations about my future. She also drove 9 hours back and forth from Columbus to NYC many times just so I could be safe at home. The woman deserves a parade. But the next best thing would be to give her one of these great gift ideas for Mother’s Day.  (more…)

Easter decor

Hoppy almost Easter! I always found Easter to be the real start of spring. It is after all the first time we pull out our brightest clothes to celebrate the occasion. The other day while I was searching for Easter items to share here on the blog I realized that I, myself, do not own any Easter decorations. I was surprised to come to this realization as Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Well, I decided this is the year I start collecting Easter decor….. how old is too old to have an Easter basket? Anyway, here are a few Easter decorations I am currently eyeing.  (more…)

valentine's day

The other day I was mindlessly walking around the city when I looked into a store window only to see a Valentine’s Day display. I thought it was a little early to already put out decor for the holiday, but in truth it is right around the corner. Is this year going fast or does time simple not exist anymore? With so many things closed down, it causes a limited amount of date night options. Valentine’s Day could seem a little frivolous to you because of this. Maybe you thought that before we were in a pandemic. To me, I think Valentine’s Day is still important, maybe more than ever. It’s the celebration of the ones you love- even if Cupid has not hit you with an arrow. It’s about celebrating love; love for family, love for friends, self love, love for your significant other, and love for community. What we need more than ever right now is to celebrate and spread love. (more…)
