Each year the biggest question I get asked is what is a great gift to give the gentlemen in your life for Christmas. What you get your father will be different from what you get your boyfriend or husband. The question you ask yourself is what does he need. Is he in need of another briefcase or gloves? Is he running around in the snow in sneakers instead of snow boots? Then the next question is what does he want. Has he been eyeing a coffee maker or a YETI cooler for camping trips and tailgating? Does he want a really nice sports coat? Then the last question, and most important of all, what do you want him to wear. Do you think he will look good in a boatneck sweater or pajama set? Will he look handsome in a navy double-breasted peacoat? Are you tired of looking at his bare feet and want him to walk around in moccasins at home when you have company over? Look at all of these questions then go with whatever you want to gift him because let’s face it ladies, he doesn’t know what he wants or needs. Here are a few gift ideas to give to the handsome men in your life.
Holiday Gift Guide
Christmas Decor
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Finally, it is December and I am most definitely in a holiday mood. I have already started to decorate my apartment. I bought these beautiful silver Nutcrackers at Home Depot a month ago while I was shopping for a few necessities for my apartment. I spotted them and instantly fell in love. Unfortunately I can not find them online to share, but this white and silver Nutcracker is just as gorgeous, and one that I would have purchased if I had not found my current figurines. I have a few other decorations at my parent’s house that I have been storing since living back here in New York. I am very excited to finally put them out on display this season. One item, in particular, is this gold decorative tree. As of now my plan is to put them behind the Nutcrackers (bought two of them) which are currently placed on my console.
Thanksgiving Decor
Now that I have my own place again I am excited to be able to decorate for the holidays with my own decor. Since I missed decorating for Halloween I am looking forward to Thanksgiving with adding a few cute decorative pumpkins, hand towels, garland, and pillows for my apartment. I normally only a few decorative objects during the holidays as storage is very limited and I have only so much space. If I had a house I would go all out. I would even host a Friendsgiving where I can use a table runner, plates, cute placement cards, and serving dish. Unfortunately my current apartment would be too small for a soirée of such. Anyway, until I have a bigger apartment or a home I will stick to minimal decor to celebrate the holidays!
