A few weeks ago I talked about wanting to make a change with my apartment. My first victim was getting a floor length mirror. Although I haven’t found a new one just yet, I am moving onto another decorative aspect of my studio; a new interior item to change. I want to update the print above my makeshift office. I do love the floral print I currently have that I got from Minted years ago, but feel that side of my studio looks bare. I am loving the trend of having a set of botanical prints as a wall gallery. I would probably stick to 3 or 4. Having more than 4 seems a little overwhelming for that section. Here are a few botanical print sets I have in mind. (more…)

Floor Mirror Inspiration
Now that we are in a new year, I am all about out with the old and in with the new. Getting rid of the things that no longer spark joy. The best way to feel new is to refresh my surroundings. Since I am not moving to a new apartment anytime soon, the next best thing is to do a little home decor makeover. My first victim, the floor mirror. (more…)
Home Storage and Organization
If you are like me then you have been binge-watching the new Netflix show Get Organized with The Home Edit all week. The Home Edit is a company founded by OCD enthusiast and organizational guru’s Joanna and Cleo. The two women, along with a team, will go into your home and organized anywhere from your closet to your garage. Their clients range from everyday people like us to celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Khloe Kardashian. The Home Edit is a little like Marie Kondo but instead of focusing on getting rid of things, it’s how you can optimize the space you already have. As someone who has a lot of stuff and lives in a small studio apartment, this show is a Godsend.
Upgrading My Dinnerware
As I was patiently waiting for the timer to go off while cooking dinner last night, I started thinking about my dinnerware. Truth be told I absolutely despise my plates and bowls. Some of which I have had since college and some I have accumulated through old roommates. It feels as if it is way past time for me to upgrade my dinnerware. I am not looking to go over the top with a fancy china set, just something affordable that doesn’t make me grumble upon the sight of it. While I am replacing my plates and bowls, I figured I could also use a few new linen napkins, tea towels, tumblers, and placemats. My main focus of course is getting new dinnerware before I completely change my place settings. Once that is taken care of I can venture on to creating a whole aesthetics with my kitchenware.
