There seems to be an app for everything these days. From games to creating content to managing your bills, if you need it you can have it. Majority of my apps are used for creating content, I am constantly adding new ones which is why I always have storage issues. Sigh. Anyway, I do have a few apps on my phone for more practical functions likes reservations or keeping my health in-check. Here are a few apps I use daily on my phone.

Drew Barrymore Flower Kids
A few months ago I had the pleasure of viewing the Drew Barrymore’s new home collection Flower Kids before it launched (early August). Although the furniture and decor collection was for little peanuts, I, myself, wanted items. The collection is adorable, simply put. Flower Kids pays homage to Drew’s childhood in the 70’s/80’s with colorful themes and retro rainbow details. From animal illustrations to creative storage units to darling dinnerware, who wouldn’t wish to have a little one to shop this collection for. It’s playful, fun and affordable!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
Today marks the beginning of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access Event. Early Access means if you have a Nordstrom card you can start shopping the major sale early before it goes open to the public. The Nordstrom Sale is pretty good this year, I have to admit that the last year or two the items were not that great. I even skipped the sale last year. But this year there is a lot of great options; anywhere from coats to basics to everyday needs to skincare, this is the time to grab what you need and want. As the sale continues Nordstrom will add more and more items. So keep checking back on the website, but don’t hesitate to buy as items do sell out fast. Nordstrom has a generous return policy. I will also update my Nordstrom shopping page on my blog (seen here). The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale will be opened to the public on July 19th.
What You Need For A 4th Of July Party
The 4th of July is the best day of the year to throw a backyard party. Everyone is out and about celebrating, patiently waiting for the fireworks to begin. As I have mentioned my parents always throw a picnic for just family members after the parade, and then I will hop around town to different parties before the firework display. Now is the time to think about how you are going to decorate your party and what you will serve. Whether you are throwing a raging party or having a couple of close friends and family over for a cookout, there are a few things you need first. Cute American flag plates and tumblers will keep with the patriotic theme. An outdoor bar cart is needed as an organized designated drinks area. Another great way to keep the drinks chilled is with a YETI cooler for the cans, while wine, liquor, and mix drinks can go on the bar cart. Having cute decorative objects like these mason jars or this banner is a festive touch to the party. Of course people will need a place to sit and what better choice than a blue and white stripe beach chair? Easy to fold and store while making it comfortable for people to sit and chat with each other if they want to. However you are spending your 4th of July party, there is something here to add to your red, white, and blue soirée.
