New York City Guide

The pandemic really put a damper on our dating lives. Whether you are in a relationship or single and ready to mingle, our romantic lives have been put on hold. I mean, nothing says romance like being scared to contract a virus. Now that New York is slowly opening up and we are doing pretty well in terms of controlling COVID (knock on wood), I think it’s safe to say that we can step back into our dating lives.

Being in New York for over 7 years I still get moments of surrealism when I think “my God I live here!”. I hope this feeling never goes away. It doesn’t happen every day, I go from work to the gym to back home like a normal person. But once a week something catches my eye or happens to me and it transforms me into gratefulness. On my next trip to NYC I asked my parents for a little painting from a street vendor down in Battery Park of all of the broadway shows. I placed the small painting (no bigger than a notebook) in my room and would stare at it, dreaming of living in NYC and being on Broadway. My first Broadway show I ever saw I was in elementary school. My parents took my sister and me to see Phantom Of The Opera. My parents bought me the Phantom mask and I would wear it around the house with a cape. I still have the mask in case you are wondering and would 100% wear the mask and a cape right now.
