Happy Friday and happy almost 4th of July!! I am heading home to Columbus on Monday for a week to celebrate the 4th with my family and to see Taylor Swift!!! I CAN NOT WAIT!! Taylor is going to be amazing! I hope she brings someone on stage with her. Last time she was in Columbus she did not have anyone make a surprise cameo. If I could choose someone I am hoping either Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, or John Legend (he is from Ohio). We will see!
As an active kid growing up the thought of protecting my skin from the sun never crossed my mind. I thought using SPF sunscreen was for sensitive skin and mine easily bronzed. The only time I would put SPF on my body is when we were down south in Mexico or one of the Islands where the sun was much more intense. But for the days I laid out by the pool, the only lotion touching my Ohio skin was tanning oil. I didn’t want protection from the sun, I wanted a tan body. During the winter seasons when you still need sun protection I never thought twice about my moisturizer having SPF. Why would I need SPF when I was mostly covered, I thought.

Happy Friday and happy beginning of summer!! This week got off to an awkward start. Monday morning while working out at Body by Simone, not even 10 minutes into the class we were dancing and I tripped over my own two feet and fell flat on my butt. I laughed, shrugged, and said “eh Mondays”. It did scare me a little as I saw my ankle roll and I thought for a second that I sprained my ankle because, well, it’s me. Luckily I did not just tweaked it a little. I iced it when I got home and stayed away from cardio from most of this week just to be on the safe side. All those years of dance lessons finally payed off.
I am no stranger to wearing a classic little white dress. In fact my entire summer wardrobe consist of mostly white dresses. From casual throw ons to upscale chic, my love for white dresses is endless. When I stumbled upon this fit and flare dress with puffy sleeves from Rebecca Taylor I knew I had to have it. It’s perfect for events and nights out on the town. It would even be perfect for a bridal shower or bridal luncheon. Classic and perfectly tailored, you will reach for this dress for years to come.
I originally bought this dress as a back up plan for my friend’s birthday party a month ago. I knew if my original outfit didn’t workout, when in doubt wear a classic white dress. Well my original dress didn’t fit properly and I felt it was too fancy for the occasion, so I wore this white dress. I am so happy I did! It fit perfectly with the evening celebration and I felt comfortable in it. It has a stretch material that makes it easy to move (and groove) in. The puffy sleeves give a nice, modern detail to it. This is truly my new favorite white dress.
