Happy Friday and happy almost Christmas!! I can not wait to go home next week for the holiday and to spend time with my family! I still have a few presents left to get for family members which I am planning on doing this weekend. If you still need last minute gift ideas you can check out my gift guide here. Although I am going to be running errands this weekend I would much rather stay home in my nice warm bed and binge watch Christmas movies.

Can you believe Christmas is in 11 days?! This year has flown by so fast! It really wasn’t until this past Tuesday when I walked around uptown looking at store fronts window display and visited the Plaza that I felt like Christmas was here. My roommates and I, sadly, did not decorate our apartment this year; not a single red bow, a tiny Christmas tree, stockings, nothing! I know, humbug! I did buy my roommates presents so at least we celebrated a little! For a gift this year I got them these cute holiday mugs from Draper James and candy from Sugarfina. It’s simple but cute gift to give them. Sometimes the smallest gifts are truly the best ones.

Happy Friday!! I have had a truly amazing week! I have been busy running from place to place but it has been lots of fun and a little stressful at times. I love this time of year when everyone is having holiday parties and I get to dress up in festive outfits, drink champagne, and spend time with friends. This is the most wonderful time of the year! My favorite time of the year!

Men, what the holly do we get them? I could easily give you a 4 page essay on what I want Santa to leave under the tree.  For guys I feel it’s a shrug and an I don’t know when asked the question. Maybe I feel this way because my dad usually never knows and ends up asking for the standard shirts and ties (or my mom tells him what he wants). For outside family gifts like Secret Santa at work he always ask for gift certificates. A simple man my dad is. Sometimes, however, he will get a little bit more specific and ask for some sport’s equipment or a new book. My brother-in-law is a little easier to shop for. He is outdoorsy so a Yeti cooler or a new pair of  Barbour gloves are the perfect gifts to get him. Still there is always the consistent what do you want question asked before you finally pry it out of them.
