My entire family is predominantly female. I only have one sister and of course there is my mom. My extended family is filled with more aunts than uncles, a female cousin, an my grandmother (I also have a very small family). Since my family is filled with mostly women, my Christmas shopping is spent looking at items in the women’s department, and items I would buy myself: “You need a new coat mom”….. then I steal it.

Lately I have been discussing my new approach to fitness and how I am trying to get back on track after my injury. Moving to New York I am trying to find new places to workout, and on a budget. I am currently doing ClassPass but am not sure how long I will stick with it. Using ClassPass allows me to try different types of workouts and places that I may not have tried before.
Since moving back I have been really into Pilates (mat and reformer), tried boxing and loved it, and went to a cardio dance class. I also bought a 5 class special to Tracy Anderson and 3 class special to ModelFit. I am really looking forward to doing both!
We can’t forget about the men in our lives this holiday season. Shopping for men has always been a little difficult for me. I can’t tell you how many times I have bought my dad an article of clothing that he never wears……. and should! Now I let him do his own shopping (and he is a great dresser, just likes what he likes) and buy him new books instead. For the other men in my life I tend to look at new gadgets or if he is into a particular sport or is in need of a new clothing item. Something tailored to his interests.

I have been trying to expand my fall and winter wardrobe with more whites and browns instead of wearing all black. This outfit I have been wearing frequently to special events. I wore it on Thanksgiving and to a get together with friends.
