One of my all-time favorite things to do is listen to music. For those of you who know me well, know music is a huge part of my life, especially when I was growing up. With spontaneous dance parties or background noise, no matter what time of the day it is, music is always being played at my house. More times than I would actually admit, I will put on a great song and dance alone in my room. I even drive around, sometimes for hours, just to clear my head and listen to the radio. It always puts me in the best of moods, especially after a bad day. I have an eclectic taste and put a lot of emotional emphasis on the music I listen to. If I love a new song, I will play it non-stop and become addicted to it.
I want to start sharing with you playlists that I create and hope that you may find a new song that you enjoy! Todays playlist is a few (the list was too long to actually share the entire thing) of my all-time favorite songs. Songs that I use to cry to,  dance to, or simply find beautiful and enjoy listening to.
Enjoy!
The perfect song to dance around to and will always put you in the best of moods.
Really anything by Johnny Cash is my favorite. Not a huge fan of country music, but something about his music I just love.
Etta James gets me. I always put her on while I am cooking or sitting in my room relaxing
Also really love Sunday Kind Of Love.
Don’t judge me, it puts me in such a great mood every single time. Try putting it on and not dancing–can’t be done!
Cause I am forever young obviously.
A lovely song.
#America
Favorite song to dance to! I love it so much I even joined Don Draper once while he did it during Mad Men… then sprained my ankle.
Crowd favorite.
Positivity!
Hands down my go-to request at bars. Ask anyone I work with, I love old school Mariah Carey and I do not care how crazy she gets.
Cause everything will turn out alright.
Probably my all time favorite.
If it is good enough for Courtney Cox to dance to, it is good enough for me.
Have a problem that is bringing you down? No worries, put this song on and you will be able to conquer the world.
–Dont tell Barb, but I like the Glee version better: here
Because I am.
Could listen to this on repeat forever.
Classic.
Put this on, dance like a maniac and get out all of your frustrations.

Beatles: I Wanna Hold Your Hand
It’s the Beatles, how could they not be on this list.

A little fun fact about me: I paint my nails every 2 to 3 days.
I usually do them myself to save money, but I love nothing more than getting them done at the salon.  Always so relaxing! When I go to the salon, I will get gel nails for either a special occasion or if I want to treat myself.
When choosing polishes I always stick to reds or pinks. My favorite colors for the spring and summer is O.P.I Dutch Tulips and Essie Bachelorette Bash. For the fall and winter I go for a more deeper red with O.P.I Malaga Wine.  O.P.I Bubble Bath and Big Apple Red is a great look for year round.

By the way, who creates the name of the colors and what do I have to do to become that person? I need to have this job like You Don’t Know Jacques!

Anyway, OPI and Essie seem to be my favorite go-to brands but I have been curious to try Chanel’s Le Vernis Rouge Rubis. I have heard Chanel last longer, but was not sure if the price was worth it.
Would love to hear what your favorite colors and brands are that you use!

Although I am trying to save my pretty pennies for some sassy and sparkly outfits for the holidays, I can’t help sneaking a purchase (or two) here and there. When the weather gets colder (dislike!), the changing of the season always makes me want to get a whole new wardrobe. These comfy and cozy pajama pants from J.Crew are high on my wish list for snowy weekend days. For nights out I am loving this silk black blouse from Theory. I am curious as to how plunging the neckline is, seems a little too deep for me, but still think this blouse is so chic. And how can I not mention this coat from Kate Spade with a bow–never met a bow I didn’t like!

One of the biggest trends continuing into the fall is the grid print, also known as the windowpane print. While all things plaid and gingham rule fall and winter, this minimal print is a refreshing alternative. A muse of the 60’s, it’s both classic and edgy. Pair a grid print sweater with jeans for a casual day look, or go a little bolder with a full printed dress, pair it with colorful heels, and head out for the evening with friends. With a subtle look yet playful look with the two-color grid, I have my eye on this shift dress and blouse from Theory.

Are you a fan of the grid print or will you stick to the classic tartan and plaid patterns this fall and winter?
