Everyone has a few favorite designers and brands that is their go-to season after season. For me it’s usually J.Crew or Tory Burch, but lately I have been obsessing over everything from Theory. The clothes are tailored and simple, making them timeless pieces. Last year I purchased this peplum (styled here) from them and haven’t looked back since!

Q: Is there such as thing as having too many J.Crew pants?
A: Hell no!
I have fallen for a new pair of pants and this is a love that is going to last a lifetime.. or until they discontinue it. The Dannie Pant is part of J.Crew’s new fall collection and she is a keeper my friends. I am pretty excited about this new addition to the J.Crew family! The skinny, slim fit is comfortable without it being too tight–a beautiful fit. The material is just like the Minnie’s but with a Pixie look with the zipper on the back. The Dannie also has pockets!–anyone else love pockets? I know I do! Anyway, it has a higher waist line; hooray for all of you tall girls and hooray for me being able to hold everything in. I believe these pants will look flattering on all body types! I have read some reviews where people are saying it runs a bit small, but I found them to be pretty true to size. I am usually between a size 0 and a size 2 in J.Crew clothing and ended up buying the size 0. Keep in mind with wear they will stretch a little. It currently comes in 3 different colors: black, navy, and dark logan, but here’s to hoping more colors will come out soon. I bought the dark logan color and love it! I am going to throw it out there and just say it… this is my favorite pair of J.Crew pants, ever.

Friends I need your help in a major life changing decision: I am in the market for a new pair of sneakers, non-athletic, and I can not seem to make up my mind. Those of you who know me well are probably a little shocked, confused, and maybe double checking to see if this is Blush and Blooms they are reading. I know, I never wear sneakers, like ever. I had the Converse All Star Chuck Taylor (ruined them 2 years ago) and maybe wore them 5 times a year. Now all of you are probably confused as to why I want to purchase an item that I hardly ever wear. It is a rare occasion folks but I think they are a necessity item. Now that I am living back in Ohio, I sometimes accidentally stumble upon a football tailgate and I’d like to keep my feet comfortable and not ruin my ballet flats. I am leaning a little towards the KEDS but after a “what are you, a grandma?” look from the sales lady at Nordstrom, I am not so sure. So I need your help in picking out a new pair by taking this poll!.

Take the poll and help me decide!

I am leaving today for New York City for a week for my final farewell tour, also known as finally closing my apartment and moving my stuff to Columbus. It really is a bittersweet feeling, leaving New York. It was the best thing that has ever happen to me. This was the hardest decision I have ever made.
As I look back on all of the incredible things I got to experience and the wonderful people I met, I feel overwhelmingly grateful for it all. I got to go backstage at New York Fashion Week, partied with Prince at a Gala event, joined the New York Junior League, had tea-time at The Plaza, sipped cocktails on the rooftop of the MET Museum during the Young Members Party, spent many nights watching the American Ballet Theatre perform at the MET Opera House, had glitter splattered on me from a guy dressed up like a skeleton while dancing the night away at Hotel Chantelle, worked for two of my dream companies, and so much, much, much more. The best part, however, were my friends. All so different yet all so special. I feel blessed to have met some of the most amazing, talented, successful, inspiring, kind, and funny people ever in my life. They all made me a better person.
New York changed me in the best way possible because it forced me to be me and it taught me how to love. And I have a deep love for the city and for the person I became because I lived there. It would be a dream to live there again someday, but for now I must go in another direction.
I love you New York and I always will.
