“Just get me a really BIG closet”
#Preach Bradshaw
It wasn’t until I lived in no space NYC that I fully came to appreciate Carrie asking Big to get her a huge closet instead of an engagement ring. Having a walk-in closet would not only look more organized, it would bring much happiness into my life. I would consider myself not so much a hoarder, but a collector of beautiful things. Sure I have clothing items that haven’t seen the light of day in a very long time, and some still have the price tag on them, but someday I promise I will wear them. I have thrown items away, only to wish I still had them when the right occasion came along.
Major regret.
When I day-dream about my future walk-in closet, I imagine having a divan, chandeliers, fresh flowers, a vanity, and LOTS of storage space. And maybe I also imagine myself just like this while enjoying my sanctuary.
So to my future husband: Just get me a really BIG closet……. and a diamond ring.

I have been wanting to revamp my wardrobe (by revamp I mean keep what I have and just add a million more things to it) for a while now and Bloomingdale’s annual Friends and Family sale arrived, by some miracle, at the right time! Take 20% off (code FRIENDS) of your purchase from now until October 5th.

New goal: become one of Bloomingdale’s top costumer.

Anyway, now that fall is in full swing and the cold weather made it hard for me to get up this morning, I believe I deserve to treat myself to a few new items like this cozy sweater and these chic riding boots.

Shop my top picks.

Do you wear lipstick?
I am not one to always walk out of the door with a painted pout. If I am wearing lipstick, it is either a nude or a rosy pink color. I find when I sample “try on” bright bubble-gum pink or fuchsia, I feel it looks a little over the top. I am more of a less is more kind of a gal; minimalist at its best. When choosing lipsticks I think more about complimenting my skin tone than contrast. I do, however, envy those of you who can rock the red lips. Some of my friends look absolutely elegant and stunning when they do. I am unfortunately tainted by my dance competition days, so wearing red looks more like costume makeup than old Hollywood glam.
The irony of me barely ever wearing lipstick is one of my favorite things to do is to go to SAKS or Bloomingdales and play beauty parlor while trying on different shades. Then I will usually use whatever I buy to write cute messages on my bathroom mirror…. makes total sense I know.
Anyway, a shade I do put on, will not wipe off right before I leave the house, and actually re-apply during the evening is Chanel BOY. Chanel is my go-to for lipsticks, but I have been wanting to try Tory Burch’s new line.
What are some of your favorite go-to shades? What brands are your favorite?

When it comes to my fall, especially my winter, wardrobe I tend to go all monochromatic in black on black on black. I know I dress like a glow stick in the summer, but when it comes to the cold temperature days, I bring out my dark side.
This fall, one of the trends I keep seeing (and loving) is a burgundy/oxblood color. This is perfect for you fellow moody dressers to add some color to your wardrobe without it being too blinding for the eyes, and for all of you rainbow bright dressers, a great way to wear a darker shade.
Burgundy isn’t a color I currently own, but I do find it to be beautiful and elegant, so I want to make it my mission to add it to my collection.
