This past Labor Day weekend I jetted over to New York City to celebrate my sister’s bachelorette!   Prancing around the concrete jungle, we explored the best city ever from Upper East Side to Wall Street. We enjoyed a fun dinner and entertainment at Lips, viewed the gorgeous city from rooftops, sipped yummy cocktails at a speakeasy, had brunch at The Park, and shopped till we dropped in Soho. It was a great weekend full of love, laughter, and lots of champagne 🙂

Here is a little recap of the weekend.

My beautiful family–cousin and sister (bride to be) about to hit the town. Everyone wore black except my sister.

The cute set up in each room! Obsessed with this bow bottle stopper and engagement ring straws!
The girls also received monogrammed notepads and a bachelorette first aid kit–Advil and Band-Aids.
How adorable are these engagement ring cookies from Our Cupcakery! They were so delicious!
Needs no explanation 🙂
It was the perfect sunny day to enjoy some yummy bloody marys on the Central Park Boathouse patio while watching the row boats on the lake.
Shopping at the new Birchbox store was amazing! Not only is there a whole salon on the bottom floor where you can get your nails and hair done, but you can also create your own box at the store–pretty cool huh?
A great way to end the weekend with a delicious dinner at La Bottega. Definitely sit on the patio for a  beautiful view of the city sky while sitting under the lantern lights.

Sorry I’ve gone all geek squad on you these past few weeks, I am just really excited about the future of online shopping. And the future of online shopping lies in our smartphone.
Through Twitter and Facebook I have been raving on and on about two new start-up apps: Spring and LIKEtoKNOW:IT.  Both are the most seamless shopping apps out there that I have used. They allow desktop check out to become mobile and a much easier process. With Fashion Week coming up soon (next week!!!), I highly suggest downloading Spring and LIKEtoKNOW:IT to shop all of their must have items. Many of your favorite brands and bloggers will be posting pictures and talking non-stop during NYFW on new collection items of the upcoming (and current) season—one not to miss out on. Remember: “Nothing haunts us like the things we didn’t buy.”
As I said on my tutorial blog post this past week, LIKEtoKNOW:IT allows you to shop items that bloggers are currently obsessing over and wearing. Spring allows brands to implement their products straight to one source for an easy to view and easy to use check out.

Really any service that allows my wish list to become more attainable with just a few clicks makes me one happy shopaholic.

When I lived in New York it was a BIG deal that I had a dishwasher–it is the small things that count! As you can imagine a kitchen really does not feel like a kitchen when the refrigerator is placed right next to your couch. Convenient for other things, yes, but not so much for cooking. Anyway, now that I have more space and have started to learn how to cook, visions of pantries, ovens, and islands dance in my head. And judging by the pictures I have pinned on Pinterest of my dream cooking space, I obviously think I deserve a fancy chandelier in (every room) my kitchen.
