Happy Friday! It’s the start of my birthday celebration! My birthday is on Tuesday, but I will be celebrating this entire weekend. I have mixed feelings about turning another year older, as I guess we all do as the years roll on. Am I where I thought I would be at the age? No. Am I happy? Yes. I am at the age, or at least the point in my life, where I am learning to let go of expectation and control and let God take the reins. Trusting in God’s plan, even if I do not completely see the path. Nevertheless I am happy. I love my life, who I have become, and where I am hopefully headed.  I think 36 will be the best year yet. Happy Friday!! Staying up to watch the Olympics and cheering on the athletes should be an Olympic sport, it’s exhausting. I, like most of you, have been staying up way past my bedtime to watch Ledecky dominate the pool and Suni Lee win her first (gold) medal. I can nap when the games are over.
