The way things have been this year we all deserve an escape from reality. We have spent the majority of 2020 indoors, isolated. The only escape we have had is through television and books; and I have spent plenty of time-devouring both. This past summer I wanted to read light-hearted books. The type of stories that will fill me with joy, excitement, and love. I wanted romance, happily ever after. I wanted to remind myself to stay positive through the whirlwind of fear and uncertainty. Here is a continuation of what books I read this past summer.

Happy Friday! My excitement for the tonight can not be expressed. Tonight is Father of the Bride: Part 3-ish and I can not contain my excitement! I LOVE the first two Father of the Bride movies and am happy they are reuniting. Steve Martin, I find to be one of the funniest comedians ever. So I know tonight is going to be filled with lots of laughter, love, and possibly tears of joy. This is what we (I) need in 2020. You can watch it here tonight at 6pm et.

Happy Friday! When I was getting my morning matcha from Starbucks this morning I was chatting with one of my favorite Baristas about how even though every day feels the same, it still feels so good to head into the weekend. Does anyone else feel this way? Maybe old mindsets die hard.

Happy Friday! Today is a somber day as we remember the events of 9/11. I will never forget this day; where I was while watching the devastation of the twin towers being hit. The fear, sadness, confusion, and anger that rippled through the country. What came out of this tragedy was unity. We banned together as a country, as one nation, as a family.
