One of the many unfortunate things we can not do during quarantine is to go to the hair salon. My roots have grown out significantly– please send your thoughts and prayers. To hide my roots I am wearing headbands to cover it up. Ever since I can remember I have loved wearing headbands. For the past few years, headbands have made a comeback as a top trend and are better than ever. From embellished to prints to knotted, headbands are a fashion must-have. Since we are currently in quarantine headbands are a great way to not do your hair but still look put together. When I jump on Zoom calls, go to the grocery store or creating content, I am wearing a headband. It’s an accessory that you can never have too many of. Here are the top 10 headbands I have my eye on.

Friday’s Simply Smitten
“There are bright places, even in dark times.
If there isn’t, you can be that bright place… with infinite capacities.”
-All The Bright Places
Happy Friday! I hope you are all still safe, healthy and making smart choices. In the news, there are talks about slowly reopening the economy, which I find hope that the end is near. But we should not reopen until we are ready. I know NYC extended the stay-at-home order until May 15th, which means I will be here in Columbus, Ohio for another month. I am very eager to get back to NYC and back to my normal life, but I am enjoying spending time with my parents
What’s Getting Me Through Quarantine
Over the past month, I have found various ways to help cope with the Coronavirus and being quarantine. Occupying myself to forget about the sadness and the fear; to do things that make me happy and lift my spirits. I try to find light and the good in these trying times; spending more time with my parents, having good health, the ability to destress and relax, more time to create, more time to read and journal, sleep a lot, a place to live and food to eat and money to buy things. I am looking at this time not as a prisoner stuck in my own home but as someone who is fortunate to have all the time in the world to do the things she loves to do and to be with people she loves. Here are a few things getting me through quarantine besides my family and friends.

“There is telepathy between hearts”
Happy Friday! Well, it’s been almost a month into quarantine and things are starting to get to me. This past week I felt emotional about everything. I have been continuously journaling, writing down my blessings, to remind myself how fortunate I still am and the silver lining of this all. Silver lining’s like how I am spending more time with my parents. This is my biggest blessing of them all.
