Happy Friday!! This past week was all about pampering myself. I got a much needed massage and went to the chiropractor. If you remember last week I tweaked my neck/back a little while working out, so I needed some serious maintenance work. I feel better but am scheduled for another chiropractor appointment next week.
Besides my neck/back problems I took a master class from Mahri Relin, owner of Body Conceptions, last night. It was such a great class! And it kicked my butt! Definitely feeling sore today.
Also yesterday one of my very good friend’s from NYC was visiting for the day. She is currently living in Boston and is in her last year of Law School. I haven’t seen her in 2 years!! How crazy is that! She was in town because she had a flight out of JFK going to Cuba….. tough life huh? Anyway, it was sooooo good to see her. We started the day off with, of course, a Soul Cycle class with our favorite instructor Mantas. When we both lived in NYC together we were Soul Cycle buddies, so it was only right that we kicked off our reunion by tapping it back. After class we had brunch at The Butcher’s Daughter (see Insta pic here). She got avocado toast and I got the AB &J toast……. already craving it. After catching up and finishing our delicious meal we headed over to Cha Cha Matcha to warm up a little and then ran around Soho shopping. One of the places we went to was the Glossier showroom. My friend is a huge fan of Glossier— I know of them and follow them (and also follow/read Into The Gloss), but have never tried their products. Well I am now a fan!! You go into this cute room where you can sample everything! I could of have stayed there forever. Once you decide what you want, you go to the check out counter and tell them which items you want to buy and they put together a little take home bag for you. I got this mask, this vitamin C serum, and their new cloud paint blush. I honestly could of have bought everything there, especially since it is so affordable, but had to restrain myself to what I needed. Finally we dragged our selves out of the store and headed to Chobani for an afternoon snack. It was so nice to spend the day with my friend. I really miss her and am grateful we could spend the day together.
This weekend I have nothing big planned. It is snowing like crazy right now, besides my 8am workout I am refusing to leave the apartment. Sunday I am attending another wellness series event with ModelFIT, which I am very much looking forward to. And tomorrow, like I said, I plan on sleeping in and relaxing– maybe I will use my new green mask and order myself GF pancakes?!! Hmmmmm sounds like a good plan to me!
Have a wonderful weekend!
