“I didn’t come this far, to only come this far”
Happy Friday! I took some time off this week to spend every moment with my family. Last weekend I went home to Columbus to visit my family, celebrate my sister’s birthday, and to see my baby niece. I did not want to miss a thing, so I was off (ish) of my computer and social media. I had a great time at home and my niece is the cutest little thing! She is the happiest baby, I love her so much!
I love spending time with my family and I really wish I could have stayed a little longer. I miss them already!
I just finished the book The Twilight Wife and highly suggest it! It is soooo good! I couldn’t put it down. The book is about a woman named Kyra, a marine biologist, who hits her head while diving into the ocean. The hit caused her to have amnesia, leaving the past 4 years of her life completely in the dark. As time passes she starts to remember pieces here and there of her life and discovers something terrifying…… what it is, I will not tell! You have to read it!
I have finished the Body Conceptions challenge and my results are in….. I lost over all 14 inches!! I am so amazed and proud of myself!! I can see a difference in my arms and stomach. I still have areas I want to work on and will continue on this health journey, but for now I am just happy with my results. I will also continue with BOCO, but this week I decided to try other workouts. I tried Kore for the first time and am going back to Tracy Anderson Method to finish my package. Kore I have heard is similar to BBG, so I was very intrigued to try it. I enjoyed the class and will definitely go back to it but would have liked a little bit more cardio. During the class we worked with kettle bells and resistance bands. I really dislike resistance bands—the round ones you use for your arms/full body. I always feel like it is throwing my body out of alignment, plus it hurts my hands. I prefer to use a weight. Anyway, Kore is a great workout. I was definitely feeling sore the next day.
This weekend I am playing catch up–the downfall from not working for a few days. I have a lot to do and have some fun collaborations and events in store in the next few weeks. Other than blogging I will be working out and having a drink or two with friends. It is suppose to rain this weekend, so maybe I will go see a movie. I STILL have not seen Beauty and The Beast and am dying to see it. But I did promise my mom I would wait to see it with her during Easter when I am home. Ugh, the agony 😉
Hope you have a wonderful weekend xo
