Last week I was talking to a friend of mine who was getting ready for her 3 week trip to Europe…. tough life she has. Anyway, she had all of her outfits planned out except for one item- the classic trench coat. After we discussed her opinions on where to buy one, I started thinking about why I love my classic trench coat so much.

Trench coats are timeless. They have remain popular since WWll, and still to this day hold the same classic, elegant essence of style it had back then. When I wear my trench coat I always feel much more put together. When we have April showers, it is the first coat I will grab.

For years a classic trench coat was number one on my list of wants. Finally a years ago I finally bought one and have been in love with it ever since. Over the years it has had a lot of use and abuse, and is still in great condition. Buying a classic trench, I felt, was my entrance into adulthood. A sophisticated item that was held by women and men of style. An item that will forever stand the test of time.
